What was Tecumseh’s main goal when leading Native American resistance?
Kitty [74]
Tecumseh's main goal was to prevent the American settlers from settling on Native American land as well as taking control of the Great Lakes Area when leading the Native American Resistance.
Tecumseh's War was between the USA army and the Native American army led by Tecumseh. The war was fought in the Indiana territory. The treaty of Fort Wayne signed in 1809 was the last straw for Tecumseh. He was a major political leader amongst the Native American's who lived in the area. Tensions rose between the two parties until the war started in August 1810.
