Civil War Research Paper
and Presentation. 500 words!!!
IRINA_888 [86]

Answer:

The Civil War took place between 1861 and 1865 in the United States, and faced on the one hand the Union, made up of the northern states, and the Confederation, made up of the southern states. The main issue that gave rise to the conflict was slavery: while Southerners sought to legalize the issue in their territories, the northern states sought to abolish slavery and guarantee real equality between whites and African Americans.

It was initiated by the Confederate shelling of Fort Sumter in Charleston Bay in South Carolina on April 12, 1861. It lasted until May 26, 1865, when the last organized centers of Confederate resistance surrendered (in some places the fighting continued until June). As a result of the war 620,000 people were killed, property worth 5 billion dollars was destroyed, and 4 million slaves gained freedom.

Many Americans were concerned about the growth of the Ku Klux Klan How does Document A providé
Anton [14]

The text shows evidence of concern over the growth of the KKK when it states that from two-thirds to three-fourths of 16-30-year-old white males have joined this group.

What was the KKK?

 • It was a supremacist group.
 • It was a group formed by white men who sought to persecute and destroy black society.
 • It was a group that was born with resentment toward the end of slavery.

The KKK was a violent group that advocated supremacist ideas and pursued social eugenics. The group's violence was something that undermined the stabilization of black society and provoked terror in communities for racist reasons.

The advance of this group was worrying, particularly in the southern states where resentment over the ban on slavery attracted most young men to join the KKK.

The Civilian Conservation Corps:
skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

The correct answer is E. Put young men to work in national parks.

Explanation:

The Civilian Conservation Corps was a project created to give jobs to young men and in this way keep the natural resources around the country. President Roosevelt had the idea of motivating Congress to create the Civilian Conservation Corps because of the economic problems which led to the Depression at that time.

The Congress finally approved the project and many conservation jobs were given to unemployed men from 18 years old to 25 years old. They had to work in semi-military camps in rural areas. Some people used to call this project as “Roosevelt’s Tree Army,” because the project's idea was the plantation of many trees.

African American men were the people who had the biggest impact in the Civilian Conservation Corps in North Carolina, and they helped to the improvement of many parks through the plantation of many trees.
