1- In a short paragraph (4-7 sentences ) explain how Beowulf, from the cleverly titled epic Beowulf, exemplifies one important value in Nordic culture. It's not a question of whether or not Beowulf does, or does not, exemplify positive /desired qualities to a Nordic culture (because he totally does)but how you know this. Use specific evidence from the epic poem in the form of direct quotes to support your claim, and explain what characteristic you're talking about , and how you know it's shown.

Answer: If Beowulf represents the way Anglo-Saxons were, or what they wanted to become, then I believe they were fierce people. They were strong and brave (they managed to conquer the entire British isles) and they didn't falter when faced with dangers. They endured any hardships that they encountered and came out of their troubles strong, and created an entire nation of English people.This is similar to what happened in the epic poem - Beowulf was a hero who was strong and brave and managed to defeat the monster Grendel, just like the Anglo-Saxons managed to defeat their own enemies. Beowulf became a king and took care of his people, just like the Anglo-Saxons started a new group of people.
