It is the third option. Reason being is because the first one describes what they do when danger approaches and it doesn't say anything about moving. The second one describes what they do to protect their young from the harsh environment around them; no movements mentioned. The fourth one just says what a penguin does but they can be standing when they do it; no mention of any movements at all.

If I had been Louis Pasteur, my first reflection would be that the experiment was able to produce milk with longer shelf-life. From there, I would make inferences as to how it happened. I already have knowledge about microorganisms and how they react or degrade with heat and pressure. So, I would conclude that by subjecting the milk to that specific temperature and pressure, the microorganisms that cause spoilage are destroyed.
Later on, I would also realize that it's not only the spoilage-causing bacteria that are destroyed but also all the other microorganisms present in the milk examples of which are probiotics.
The answer is the forcing mechanism. It is the process that would alter the balance of the climate system that includes solar irradiance,the volcanic eruptions as well as the enhancement of the greenhouse effect through emission of the carbon dioxide.
