Answer: necklaces: 180 inches

Bracelets: 108

Step-by-step explanation: a jeweler has 36 inches of silver chain She needs 5 times that much to make some necklaces and. 3 times that amount to make some bracelets. How much silver chain does she need to make her necklaces and bracelets

by all means i'm not too sure what you mean i'll explain why later but this is basically a multilication problem when you see the word times then you know itusually means multiply, now the reason i'm confused is because in the problem where this part said (that) i was wondering if it was 36*5 and then 5 times that amount or what, anyways disregard that all i did was multiply 36 by 5 and 36 by 3

The two equations a+b=-7, a-b=14 can be solved to get these results. It is genrally convenient to solve them by adding one to the other, or subtracting one from the other.

To estimate the product 3.48 times 7.33,Marisa multiplied 4 times 8 to get 32.Exsplain how she can make a closer estimate
notka56 [123]

Marisa had rounded 3.48 to 4 and times it to 7.33 which she rounded to 8

In fact 3.48 is closer to 3 we know this since the .48 of 3.48 s below .50 if it was .50 or above it would round to 4 but it doesn't the same applies to 7.33 so

it should be 3 x 7 = 21

If F(x)=x^3-2x^2, which expression is equivalent to f(I) -2+i,-2-i,2+i,2-i
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

2 - i

Discussion:

Evaluate F(x) = x^3 - 2 x^2 when x = i.

i^2 = -1 for i^3 = i ( i^2) = i (-1) = -i

So F(i) = (i)^3 - 2 (i)^2

          = -i - 2(-1)

          = -i + 2

          = 2 - i

which is the last answer shown

Thank you,

Write an equation in slope intercept form to model the situation.
lozanna [386]

Answer:

y=-\frac{1}{2}x + 10

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope intercept form is a way of modeling a quadratic equation, where the coefficient of the term (x) is the slope (change) of the line, and the constant is the y-intercept. In essence;( y=mx+b ), where (m) is the slope and (b) is the y-intercept.

The slope of the given line is (-\frac{1}{2}) because, this is the rate at which the candle burns, therefore, it is the change in the line. The change is (\frac{1}{2}) because this is the rate of burning, the slope is also negative since the height is decreasing. (10) is the y-intercept because it is the starting height of the candle. One will take the time since the start of burning the candle, multiply it by the slope, and add it to the y-intercept to find the current height of the candle. Therefore, the equation is (y=-\frac{1}{2}x + 10), where the output (y) is the current height of the candle, and the input (x) is the time at which the measruement was taken.
