How did the american revolution and civil war expand democratic principles and american ideals?
antoniya [11.8K]

The Constitution was designed to limit the power of government while ensuring basic personal rights for American citizens. The new government would be based on democratic principles. Can you guys give me some compare and contrasts in ancient rome and ancient greece for culture, environment , and religion
alexgriva [62]

Answer:

I'm not good at Ancient rome and ancient greece but I can try.

Explanation:

The Greeks wanted perfection in their depiction of people. The Romans want real life people.  The Greek civilization was a collection of city-states, and were not united under one central government until they were conquered by Alexander the Great.

Hope this helps!

A significant political consequence of the growth of democracy in the united states from 1800 to 1830 was the expansion of suffr
Stolb23 [73]
white males

This was an effort espoused by "Jacksonian democracy" (in reference to Andrew Jackson).  The stated intent was to allow common Americans to have more influence in the political processes.
The expanding of the democratic franchise aimed at getting rid of property requirements for voting. That benefit thus went to white males.  It didn't do anything for blacks under slavery, of course, and  and wasn't at all concerned about giving voting rights to women.
