(Please answer accordingly and explain how or why you think it’s the answer. (Provide the math behind it, etc.) I’m not the best

at these type of logic questions so help would be appreciated!)
1. Quickfence Ltd has the following method for calculating the price it will charge to put up a new fence:

• Labour is charged at $25 per hour, or part of an hour. It takes 45 minutes of labour per metre to put up a new fence.
• Fence panels are 2 m long and cost $20 each. If they have to be cut, the price of a full panel is charged.
• Fence posts cost $5 each. A post is needed between fence panels and at both ends.

What will be the price for a fence 13 m long?

2. A farmer is planning to create a temporary ‘pen’ for livestock, by cutting a large section of plastic netting into strips, joining the strips together and then fixing the combined length to posts. He decides the fence must be 2 m high, and must form a shape that is nearly square: either a precise square or a rectangle whose length and width do not differ by more than 5 m.

If the length and width are both whole numbers of metres, what is the greatest area than can be created from 156 m2 of netting?

Answer: 1. 430$ 2.?

Explanation:You need 7 fence panels to complete the fence so 7×20 will cost 140 to start. Then you would have to have 2 fence posts for each fence so it would be 9 fence posts; my fence posts.

➡ :-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

Each fence posts cost 5$ so 8×5 is

40$ which will bring up the cost to

180$. Labour for each meter will

take 45 minutes. The fence is 13

meters long so we have to multiply

45×13 to get the total minutes to

build all 13 meters. You get 585

minutes now you divide that

answer by 60 to get the hours. You

get 9 hours and 45 minutes. Now

you have to multiply 10 with 25

since each hour of work or part

of an hour will cost 25 dollars.

You get 250$. Now you add the

cost of labour, 250$, with

the previous amount of the

combined cost of fence posts and

fences which was 180$. So the

total cost, 180$ + 250$, of the 13

meter fence will be 430$ in total.

1. Which of the following describes a demand schedule?
NikAS [45]

1)d. The quantity of a product that consumers are willing and able to buy at each unit price

2)C. The product has a lower price

3)c. The quantity demanded for chips will decrease and the demand for salsa will decrease.

4)I didn't understand your question about this one but I can explain the graph:-)

according to this diagram

the supply curve has shifted backward i.e supply is decreased so, with the decrease in supply the price of good increases and as a result of increased price the quantity demanded decreased.

5)B. Average consumer income has decreased, with Good A being an inferior good. ( because as you can see in the diagram that demand for good A is increased)

demand for inferior goods increases with the decrease in income. For example: if your income decreases you'll start travelling from bus instead of train.

6)B. Stacy wanted ice cream a bit more than a cupcake but chose the cupcake when the price of ice cream increased.
