Find how many kilometers they traveled by
Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Biking is x and bussing is y. We know that the total distance is 325. Thus, the first equation in this system is

x + y = 325 (which says that the km traveled by bike plus the km traveled by bus totaled 325 km).

We also know that the pair biked 75 km more than they rode, giving us the second equation in our system:

x = y + 75. Now we use simple substitution and plug y + 75 in for x in the first equation:

(y + 75) + y = 325 and

2y + 75 = 325 and

2y = 250 so

y = 125 km. They rode the bus for 125 km and biked for 325 - 125 which is 200. And the difference is 75 km, as it should be!

In the figure below what is the value of x<br><br> Lmk ASAP
Julli [10]

Step-by-step explanation:

<h2>ANSWER:-</h2>

We know that:-

Angle sum property if Triangles tells us that sum of angles of a triangle is equal to 180°.

So, First, we will find the third inner angle.

180 = y + 93

y = 87

Now, let us find x.

62 + 87 + x = 180

149+ x = 180

x = 31

So, 31° is the answer. (c)

The width of a rectangle is 5 n minus 1.5 feet and the length is 1.5 n plus 9 feet. Find the perimeter of the rectangle.
andre [41]

Answer:

Perimeter= 13n+15

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that

Length(l) = 1.5n + 9 ft

Width(w) = 5n - 1.5 ft

The formula for the perimeter(P) of a rectangle is:

P=2l+2b \\or \\P=2(l+b)

So by substituting l and w we get :

P= 2[(1.5n+9)+(5n-1.5)]

P= 2[(1.5n+9)+(5n-1.5)]

P= 2[1.5n+5n+9-1.5]

P= 2[6.5n+7.5]

P= 13n+15

An architect is designing a department store. She wants to add an escalator. She knows that the escalator will make a 30° angle
lbvjy [14]

As per the problem

The escalator make a 30° angle with the floor .

The escalator have a vertical height of 36 feet.

Now draw the diagram with the given information, the diagram is attached below

From the diagram,

Horizontal length=AB=d

Distance traveled by the person on the escalator stairs=AC=l

In triangle ABC,

tan30=\frac{36}{d}\\ \\ \frac{1}{\sqrt{3}} =  \frac{36}{d}\\ \\ d=36\sqrt{3} \\

Again in triangle ABC, Using Pythagoras Theorem

AC^2=AB^2+BC^2\\ \\ l^2=36^2+(36\sqrt{3})^2\\ \\ l=\sqrt{36^2+(36\sqrt{3})^2} \\ \\ l=\sqrt{5184} =72\\

The horizontal length needed is 36\sqrt{3} ft

The distance a person would travel on the escalator stairs is 72 ft

Is my answer correct? It's a mean, median, and mode question.
Serjik [45]
A. Mean

Mean = Total / How many numbers there are

City A- Add all the numbers:

4 + 3.5 + 5 + 5.5 + 4 + 2 = 24

There are 6 numbers.

24 / 6 = 4

Mean = 4 for City A

City B- Mean:

Add all the numbers:

5 + 6 + 3.5 + 5.5 + 4 + 6 = 30

There are 6 numbers.

30 / 6 = 5

Mean = 5 for City B

B. MAD(Don't know this part)

C. Median

City A- Median:

There are 2 middle numbers.

They are 5 and 5.5

5 + 5.5 = 10.5

10.5 / 2 = 5.25

Median = 5.25 for City A

City B- Median:

The 2 middle numbers are 3.5 and 5.5

3.5 + 5.5 = 9

9 / 2 = 4.5

Median = 4.5 for City B.

Answers:

a. The mean for City A is 4. The median for City B is 5.
b. Don't know MAD
c. The median for City A is 5.25. The median for City B is 4.5

Hope this helped☺☺
