In 1892, Homer A. Plessy sat down in a "whites only" railroad car in Louisiana. He was breaking the law but he refused to move t

o a "blacks only" car. Plessy was arrested and his case eventually went to the U.S. Supreme Court. The court's decision was that separate transportation facilities for blacks and whites were not unconstitutional as long the facilities were equal.

The answer would be c. because many african americans faced hate/discrimination over their race. the south tried to limit the effectiveness of the 14th and 15th amendments. so it was extended almost everywhere in the southern parts of the union.
