Answer:

0.2

Step-by-step explanation:

The box of nails is the cost of $3.60 and the nails inside the box contains 180k nails.

3.60 = 180k.

It wont make since to add or multiply because the number decreased now I have tried subtracting..  Still didn't work  because its not in the answer choices. I tried diving and got 0.2.

I told you how I solved this question when I got it.

Hey!

The first step to solving the rest of this problem would be to distribute the parenthesis in -( 5x - 10 ).

<em>Original Equation :</em>
-( 5x - 10 )

<em>New Equation {Changed by Distributing the Parenthesis} :</em>
- ( 5x ) - ( -10 )

Now we'll simplify the equation.

<em>Old Equation :</em>
- ( 5x ) - ( -10 )

<em>New Equation {Simplified} :</em>
-5x + 10

Okay, now that that part of the equation has been changed, we can add the simplified part to our entire equation.

<em>New Equation :</em>
5x - 9 - 5x + 10

Next we need to group like terms.

<em>Old Equation :</em>
5x - 9 - 5x + 10

<em>New Equation {Changed by Grouping Like Terms} :</em>
5x - 5x - 9 + 10

And now we add the similar elements.

<em>Old Equation :</em>
5x - 5x - 9 + 10

<em>New Equation {Changed by Grouping Like Terms} :</em>
-9 + 10

And finally we simply add the numbers.

<em>Old Equation :</em>
-9 + 10

<em>Solution {Old Equation Solved} :</em>
1

<em>So, this means that 5x - 9 - ( 5x - 10 ) is</em>  1.

Hope this helps!

The employees of a hardware store ordered lunch from a local delicatessen. The lunch consisted of 4 turkey sandwiches and 7 orde
AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

Charges of Turkey is $6.25

Charges of French Fries is $1.90

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Represent Turkeys with T and French Fries with F;

4T + 7F = 38.3

5T + 5F = 40.75

Required

Determine the values of T and F

5T + 5F = 40.75

Divide through by 5

T + F = 8.15

Make F the subject

F = 8.15 - T

Substitute 8.15 - T for F in the first equation

4T + 7F = 38.3

4T + 7(8.15 - T) = 38.30

4T + 57.05 - 7T = 38.30

Collect Like Terms

4T  - 7T = 38.30 - 57.05

-3T = -18.75

Solve for T

T = -18.75/-3

T = 6.25

Recall that:

F = 8.15 - T

F = 8.15 - 6.25

F = 1.90

g and Consider the following. f(x) = 4x2 + 5x − 18 (a) Find the instantaneous rate of change of the function at the value x = −4
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

a) \frac{dy}{dx} = -27, b) m = -27

Step-by-step explanation:

a) The instantaneous rate of change is:

\frac{dy}{dx} = 8\cdot x + 5

\frac{dy}{dx} = 8\cdot (-4)+5

\frac{dy}{dx} = -27

b) The slope of the tangent line is equal to the instantaneous rate of change found previously.

m = -27
