What theme does Whitman develop in poem 6 of “Song of Myself”?
Natalka [10]

Answer:

This whole section is about grass.

Explanation:

A child asked him what the grass was, and he couldn't answer, except to guess that grass must be the symbol or "flag" of our hopeful nature. Green is the color of hope. Or, it could be like God's handkerchief, just a little something to remember him by.

Write a short story, short essay, or poem using the words litany, commence, harbor, regimen, and charisma in context.
katen-ka-za [31]

Here below is a short poem using the words in their proper meaning.

Explanation:

A polyphony of litany rang across the church with the wind

and carried its shrill to the harbor----

Where the ship awaits consent to commence

On its journey to the distant shores.

The regimen of the fleet to await---

The blessings of the church

Overpowered by the Charisma of the new captain

Who favored the favorable tides to the God.

The words here are used according to their main meaning and not due to a fringe meaning they may have.

This poem uses the words in a narrative sense of them in a free verse. Hope this is of some help.

What is the mood of the poem?
9966 [12]

Answer:

A. compassionate.

Explanation:

The author seems to know how the caged bird really feels and understands its struggle. He seems to show compassion for the caged animal through the way he tells of how it lives. Not only that, but the poem itself is titled 'Sympathy', which is kind of a synonym for 'compassionate'.
