If you roll a numbered cube once, your chance of getting a 4 is 1/6. If you roll twice, your chance of getting a 4 is 2/12. If you roll three times, your chance of getting a 4 is 3/18. You see the pattern here? Try it yourself and see if you can get it! If you can't understand it, let me know and I'll give you the answer!

Find the equation of the line (-4,-7) and (12,1)
ryzh [129]

Answer:

y = 1/2x -5  slope intercept form

y-1 = 1/2(x-12)  point slope form

Step-by-step explanation:

We can find the slope of this line by using

m = (y2-y1/(x2-x1)

  = (1--7)/ (12 --4)

 = (1+7)/(12+4)

 = 8/16

  = 1/2

We know the slope and a point, so we can use point slope form

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y-1 = 1/2(x-12)

y-1 = 1/2 x -6

Add 1 to each side

y-1+1 = 1/2x -6+1

y = 1/2x -5

This is in slope intercept form

Use the Distributive Property to write an expression that is equivalent to 6(p+q).
tatiyna

The Distributive Property shows that 6(p + q) is equivalent to 6p + 6q

The distributive property tells us how to solve expressions in the form of a(b + c).  The distributive property is sometimes called the distributive law of multiplication and division. It is given by:

a(b + c) = ab + ac

Given the expression:

6(p + q)

Using the distributive property:

= 6p + 6q
