9. What was the impact of the Gl Bill of Rights on American society, including minorities?
uranmaximum [27]

The GI Bill of Rights allowed US veterans from World War II to receive economic and educational benefits based on their military service.

The GI Bill helped veterans after World War II by providing them with low interest home loans. This allowed for the growth of suburbs during the 1950's. Along with this, the GI Bill helped to pay veterans education. Millions of men have used this law to pay for their college education.

Even though African Americans served in the war during World War II, many of them did not receive the same benefits as white citizens. For example, many African American citizens had a much more difficult time receiving low interest home loans in comparison to their white peers.

Why was control of constantinople important
sergiy2304 [10]

Fall of Constantinople, (May 29, 1453), conquest of Constantinople by Sultan Mehmed II of the Ottoman Empire. The dwindling Byzantine Empire came to an end when the Ottomans breached Constantinople’s ancient land wall after besieging the city for 55 days. Mehmed surrounded Constantinople from land and sea while employing cannon to maintain a constant barrage of the city’s formidable walls. The fall of the city removed what was once a powerful defense for Christian Europe against Muslim invasion, allowing for uninterrupted Ottoman expansion into eastern Europe.
