The correct answer is sentence 2 - The teacher will omit the lowest score in order to increase the averages.

Like the definitions already explained, to emit means to produce something, whereas to omit means to leave something out. Now, let's go through all sentences:

Sentence 1 - instead of omit, it should say emit (to emit a frequency means to produce it)

Sentence 3 - instead of emit, it should say omit (to omit chapters means to leave them out)

Sentence 4 - instead of emitted, it should say omitted (to delete the offensive graphics)

Sentence 2 is correct because the teacher wants to leave out the lowest scores so as to increase the averages; he doesn't want to produce them - that would be quite the opposite of what he is trying to do.

Liono4ka [1.6K]

The main topic for a class discussion after reading the poem by Emily Dickinson "Musicians Wrestle Everywhere" is A) where the action of the poem takes place. It is due to the fact that this poem relates not only to music or bands, but to the everyday sounds that are around us even before we wake up until the end of the day. The author refers to "new life", as a biblical reference in which life begins every single day, she also refers to music as "the spheres" which could symbolize the mathematical influence there exist in music. She ends up telling that the music or sounds "Of vanished Dames- and Men" are celestial. Therefore, the poem could be related to life, its beginning, its end, the ascension to Heaven, reborn and all of the former beyond the mundane noises.

It is difficult to know whether kindness in human beings is ____ or learned.
Harlamova29_29 [7]
Answer A. Innate.

We do not know if it is a trait that all humans are born with (which would be innate), or if it's something that we develop as we grow older.

The other words wouldn't make sense in the place of innate.
