Minchanka [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Sean buys some T-shirts for $12 each and the same number of belts for $7.50 each. Write an expression in the simplest form that represents the total amount.

So n represents the same number for t-shirts and belts.

Therefore n x 12.50 + n x 7.50 OR n(12.50+7.50)

The problem the student made was that they multiplied 12 times n plus 7.50. They forgot to multiply n times 7.50.

An expression that represents the total amount spent is 12n + 7.50n

Hope this helps!

at the conrad bakery plant 200 employees each worked 5 hours overtome this wee. each employee has a regular wage of 9.40 an hour
dezoksy [38]
Regular pay = $9.40
Overtime pay = 9.4 x 1.5 = $14.10

1 hour = 14.10
5 hours = 14.10 x 5 = $70.50

1 employee = $70.50
200 employees = 70.50 x 200 = $14100

Lets write formulas for volume of both cone and can

Cone:
Vc = Bc*Hc/3

Can:
V = B*H

where B is basis and H is height for each

Now because cone fits perfectly inside can that means that both B and H are the same
from this we can see that cone has 3 times less volume than a can that cone is inside of.

if can has 36 volume that means that cone has:
36/3 = 12 volume

Answer is 12.

How many gallons of a 90% antifreeze solution must be mixed with 90 gallons of 20% antifreeze to get a mixture that is 80% antif
lozanna [386]

Answer:

540

Step-by-step explanation:

Amount of antifreeze in the 90% solution + amount of antifreeze in the 20% solution = amount of antifreeze in the 80% solution

0.90 x + 0.20 (90) = 0.80 (x + 90)

0.90 x + 18 = 0.80 x + 72

0.10 x = 54

x = 540

You need 540 gallons of 90% antifreeze solution.
