Answer:

He was a gifted orator and major figure in the American Revolution. His rousing speeches—which included a 1775 speech to the Virginia legislature in which he famously declared, “Give me liberty, or give me death!”—fired up America's fight for independence

An active participant in many key events in the Revolutionary War, Lee protested the Stamp Act in Virginia (1765), sat on the committee that named George Washington Commander-in-Chief of the Continental army (1775), and introduced the motion that led to the Declaration of Independence (1776).

Explain how militarism, the naval arms race and the development of the alliance system created tensions and suspicion in Europe
Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

As a political concept, militarism denotes the presence of a highly dominant uniformed power that in some cases can even escape political and parliamentary control.

The background to the First World War is extremely controversial on important points, especially regarding the blame for its outbreak. The peace treaties attributed the blame for the war to the defeated central powers. On this treaty-bound declaration, which the defeated were forced to sign, the victors' right to damages was founded. The Allied war propaganda and many of its official documents further developed that the war was primarily, if not exclusively, caused by Germany's alleged deliberate, decades-long pursuit of "world domination", culminating in attacks on peaceful neighbors. In German official propaganda during the war, the war was portrayed as being solely caused by the Allies' equally protracted and determined effort to first "surround" and then "destroy" the German Reich, culminating in their opposition to the German attempts to "locate" the Austro-Serbian conflict. Neutral objective views can not accept any of these simplifications of the debt problem, since World War I has clearly emerged from a long-running crowd and the last decade before the outbreak of war has mostly exacerbated conflicts. Their intertwining and final culmination in the 1914 crisis cannot be given any responsibility to any individual, government or nation.

Why does Paterson believe that the convention should not adopt proportional representation?
sammy [17]

Answer:

Because more populous state would have more rights.

Explanation:

Paterson believed that every state is an independent entity and has a right to make decision as every other. According to that, if the proportional representation was introduced those states with less inhabitants would have less rights. Still, his plan was rejected at the end.

How do we keep Lincoln's promise to our veterans and their families
Harman [31]
That is a difficult thing to do because even though we say we honor the veterans quite a few are homeless. The only way you we can do what Lincoln said is if we as the people take up the call to honor them properly and the other side is to recognize that for every veteran there are easily five other men that died. We must honor veterans and the men that died  <span />
