What is another way to think of the signs for "son" and "daughter"?

World Languages

Answer:

The sign for "son" is a (mutated) compound of "MALE and BABY." It is abbreviated though. The "male" part of the sign just looks like a salute. You abbreviate the BABY portion of the sign (no rocking). It sort of looks like you are saluting from your forehead to the crook of your left elbow. The left arm sometimes just hangs down during the sign SON or at least is more relaxed than in the sign for baby.

Paragraph on sense of cooperation
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:

In present educational system there are variety of competitions in academic area and athletic area for children to attend, which could stimulating the will of children to learn and to achieve the best of them, and also be able to teach them teamwork skill. However, some people think it is better to make children be competitive than cooperative, both the values have its arguments.

A strong competition sense helps children having urge to learn or to practice for being the best among peers, and this factor is initially arises from the schools and parents, to encourage children to get the highest scores through the grading system. Even though a competitive child is usually more motivated to pursue a goal or to face difficulties independently, but it is also risky that children are becoming too competitive to cooperating with others. Being competitive leads them to success, but could also restrict them in many ways. For example, it might be hard for a competitive person to deal or manage in a team work project.

On the other hand, cooperation is also an essential quality for children, no matter in school activities or in communities. Having a good cooperating spirit helps kids to communicate and get along with others, which gives them more possibility to solve problems or to achieve a goal easily by working as a team. After all, in society, there is hardly anyone who could has big achievement by oneself. For example, famous singers or movie stars, despite of their talent to make them successful, there are always a team to manage works or deal with things.

Competition and cooperation are both essential skills for people to live in this world. Someone believe it's better to put their children in a competition environment early to adapt current society, but others say that cooperation is the most significant skill which children have to know well. In this essay, I will talk about both side and give my own opinions about them.

However, only focus on competitiveness is not always beneficial for children. To begin with, young children are naturally egocentric. Therefore they have to learn how to feel other people's feeling and help other one. No parent want their child become a selfish man, isn't it? In addition, group work is a good way to teaching children communication skill and sense of responsibility. We are now live in a highly-interdependent knowledge society, it is hard that one man can cope with everything, no matter how brilliant you are, work as a team always the best and effective method to getting a success.

In conclusion, it is almost impossible to separate these two features of our lives. Competition and cooperation are potential elements in our blood, they are most important factors to us to establish current world, and children have to learn both of things well.

Some people argue that children should be motivated to join competition, while other conclude that sense of cooperation is needed among children to make them better adults. However in my opinion, i believe that mix of both sense of competition and cooperation is needed to make children better adults.

There are many advantages of competition. Firstly, the sense competition among children will strive them to work hard and get first position in class. The students competing against each other, will try hard to improve themselves in order to perform well against their rival students. Each student will try his/her out most to achieve better position in class. We live in a very competitive society, so students should be prepared for it. When i was student, my school lacked sense of competition, students only cared about passing the exams. As a result our school ranked lower. So competition among students is also important.

There are also disadvantage of competition. As students will become selfish. Many parents would also compel their children to achieve better marks, so they can feel superior in family.

On the other hand there are many people who believe that cooperation has better influence on children than competing among them. Team work solves problem faster and better. Children studying together can help each other understand better, and can solve their home work much quicker. Each can help other in covering their weakness. In groups students can learn a lot of skills from each other. It also become easier for them to interact with other individual in the society. However different occasion need different skills, for example during exam, helping each other mean cheating.

So in general, mix of both competition and cooperation should be taught to the student

How can the "feel" of a facility best be described?
Nataly [62]

When a patient walks into a hospital waiting room, an ambulatory clinic, or even a doctor’s office, that person has certain expectations about the environment she will encounter. Healthcare facilities must not only meet visual expectations for cleanliness and organization, but have to maintain the right temperature, be comfortable, and lend themselves to the best possible care outcomes. And these indicators can often fall under the purview of healthcare facilities management.

To maintain a healthcare environment, facilities managers must engage in some degree of staff management and coordination. Managing staff goes well beyond creating schedules and solving communication issues to ensuring that you correctly utilize every staff member, and the entire team can work at its maximum efficiency.
