Answer:

It is a non-specified illness affecting people who spend long hours in certain buildings. It is increased by more people spending time indoors, in the apartments and offices, as well as lifestyle quality decrease.

Explanation:

Sick-building syndrome is a health hazard during which people who live or spend time in a certain building begin to develop symptoms of the same disease which are connected to the building itself. The symptoms are nonspecific usually and can’t be tied to a certain known illness, but can involve fatigue, dizziness, nausea, flu-like symptoms, breathing difficulties.

Some of the reasons may be connected to the way the building is kept and cleaned, some to the way it is built, and some are unable for detection.

Sick building syndrome increase is connected to the fact that more people work and live in a specific building, not changing scenery often, and being indoors for a prolonged period. Usage of the plastic materials, computers, and indoor ventilation that have been on the rise past few decades probably have the influence as well.

Read the excerpt from “How I Live” by Nathaniel Hawthorne. I have been busy all day, from early breakfast-time till late in the
BigorU [14]
After reading the passage, it my be said that the narrator seems to feel that despite being busy all day, he had the chance to enjoy the place, to breath. maybe it was like an "injection" of energy for him this such fresh air he was able to feel. he is even comparing it to a place with a polluted air which gives him another perspective of the fresh air he was able to find in this place.
