Explain why less trash is left on Earth when people recycle bottles and cans?
Hatshy [7]

Answer:

Bottles & cans (the ones made of plastic especially) account to about ⅔rd of the waste generated all over the globe. Also, plastic & glass bottles/cans are non-biodegradable & hence, persist on the surface of the Earth for longer years than biodegradable substances as biodegradable substances can be easily digested by the enzymes in the decomposers but this can't be done in the case of non-biodegradable substances. If these are recycled instead of being dumped then we can reduce this waste & also help in its less production thus making the Earth a green & safe planet.

Hope it helps ⚜

How did the rivers of Mississippi affect the lives of First Nations people?
ELEN [110]

They provided a source of food that contributed to population growth.

To the Native American peoples of the river, the Mississippi was both highway and larder. On it they paddled their cottonwood dugouts and their bark canoes, and from it they took the fish that was a mainstay of their diet. Constant shifts of migration, local or large-scale, interwove tribal languages and cultures.

Baseball from pitch to hits story need answers
professor190 [17]

Hit by pitch:

In baseball, hit by pitch (HBP) is a situation in which a batter or his clothing or equipment (other than his bat) is struck directly by a pitch from the pitcher; the batter is called a hit batsman (HB). A hit batsman is awarded first base, provided that (in the plate umpire's judgment) he made an honest effort to avoid the pitch, although failure to do so is rarely called by an umpire. Being hit by a pitch is often caused by a batter standing too close to, or "crowding", home plate.

Records:

The all-time record for pitchers is held by Gus Weyhing with 277 (1887–1901). The modern-era career pitching record for most hit batsmen is 205 by Hall-of-Famer Walter Johnson. The season record is 54 by Phil Knell in 1891, and the game record is six, held by Ed Knouff and John Grimes.[8] Brady Anderson was the first player to be hit by a pitch two times in the same inning in an American League game. On April 25, 2014, Brandon Moss became the second when he was hit twice in the top of the 9th inning by Houston Astros pitchers. Five players have been hit by a pitch twice in the same inning in the National League.
