The numbers from 1 to 150, inclusive, are placed in a bag and a number is randomly selected from the bag. What is the probabilit
Ivan

Answer:

139/150

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's make a list of the perfect squares.

1 4 9 16 25 36 49 64 81 100 121 144

The probability that one of these is drawn is 12/150 = 4/50 = 2/25

Take out 1. So that means there are 11 perfect squares.

11/150 are your chances of getting a perfect square.

1 - 11/150 = 139/150 that you will not get a perfect square.

I would have included 1 in the perfect squares, but the question says not to so you can't.

If the question did not mean that 1 should be excluded, then the answer is 23/25

A student claims that the rectangular point below can be represented by the
Sladkaya [172]

Since we don't have a figure we'll assume one of them is right and we're just being asked to check if they're the same number.  I like writing polar coordinates with a P in front to remind me.

It's surely false if that's really a 3π/7; I'll guess that's a typo that's really 3π/4.

P(6√2, 7π/4) = ( 6√2 cos 7π/4, 6√2 sin 7π/4 )

P(-6√2, 3π/4) = ( -6√2 cos 3π/4, -6√2 sin 3π/4 )

That's true since when we add pi to an angle it negates both the sine and the cosine,

cos(7π/4) = cos(π + 3π/4) = -cos(3π/4)

sin(7π/4) = sin(π + 3π/4) = -sin(3π/4)

Liula [17]

Answer:

Arranging : 9.2020 < 9.2200 < 9.2211 < 9.8000

Step-by-step explanation:

9.22   = 9.2200

9.202 = 9.2020

9.8      = 9.8000

9.2211  = 9.2211

Now compare the numbers in the tenths : except 3rd option ( 8 in the tenth place) everything has 2 in the tenths place.

Arranging : 9.2200, 9.2020, 9.2211, 9.800

So we take the next place, hundredths : Compare the number in hundredth place and tenth place and arrange. [ 22, 20, 80 , 22]

Arranging : 9.2020 , 9.2200, 9.2211, 9.8000

Now compare  the numbers in tenths , hundredths and thousandth place :

[220, 202, 800, 221 ]

Arranging : 9.202, 9.220, 9.221, 9.800

Now compare all the four numbers and arrange :

[ 2200, 2020 , 8000, 2211 ]

Arranging : 9.2020 , 9.2200 , 9.2211 , 9.8000
