To find the slope of a line that goes through given points with known coordinates, you divide the subtraction of the y of the second point minus the y of the first point, by the subtraction of the x of the second point minus the x of the first point:
m = (yB-yA) / (xB-xA)
Let A(8,5) and B(6,7).
With yB = 7; yA = 5; xB = 6; xA = 8
m = (7-5) / (6-8)
m = 2/-2
m = -1
So the slope of the line that goes through the given points (8,5) and (6,7) is m = -1.
I've added a pic of the line with both points under the answer.
Hope this Helps! :)

Hello Alondra,
To solve this problem, you have to write a proportion using the ratios formed by the similar triangles.
Or proportion can be:
x/(x+2) = 10/15
Cross multiply to solve it:
10x + 20 = 15x
20 = 5x
4 = x
The value of x is 4.
I hope this helps,
MrEQ
D. Because you're multiplying 3 by a number which is what the variable represents (n), then you're just adding 7 to that which equals 19 all together. It all translates to 3n+7=19.
The answer to the question above is the third choice, "a shelf on a wall". The shelf is usually made of rectangular pieces of materials that are then connected to each other to form quadrilaterals. The sides of the shelf are planes.
