It's not clear which word you should identify. But I remember that I've answered this question before. So I know what to do. I've put these words in bold:
1. The White House has been home to many animals as well as presidents. I am definitely sure that the White House is proper noun, because it is a name used for individual place and it is spelled with an initial capital letter. So the answer is b.
2. Teddy Roosevelt for example kept a pet snake. The word "snake" is 100% common noun, because it denotes a class of objects (snakes). So the answer is A.
3. When Abraham Lincoln was president , he had a turkey named Jack. The word "he" is a third person pronoun because it refers to person other than the writer. So the answer is letter C.
4. Who remembers the name of Lyndon Johnsons dogs? The word "Who" is an interrogative pronoun because it's used to ask a specific question. There are five interrogative pronouns. Anyway, there are no option with interrogative pronoun. So find the letter by yourself.
It could go both ways, but really, he does by letting them have a head start and a place to hide.
Hard question
the end of world war II in a prisoners point of view would not matter. the prisoners would not care because they have nothing to loose/ nothing to gain. the prisoners would just want to be free and explore the "new" world
