The correct answer is the second one.

We know the speaker has had a hard life because "old Time's tuck his toll." By this, he means that time has taken its toll -- the years have been difficult.

Answer:

These lines from the poem suggest that the speaker has had a hard life.

Explanation:

This lines from "The Old Swimmin' Hole" By James Whitcomb Riley show the connection of the old mas with the swimmin' hole as he starts remembering the good old days when he was young and everything seemed so perfect and bright, now those are just memories in his mind and his heart of a better time than the one he lives now.

What happens to sodium chloride when it dissolves in water?
Alex73 [517]

Answer:

D. The sodium ions are separated from the chloride ions, and both dissolve separately into the water.

Explanation:

When sodium chloride is dissolved in water, the polar water molecules are able to work their way in between the individual ions in the lattice. The water molecules surround the negative chloride ions and positive sodium ions and pull them away into the solution. This process is called dissociation.

In other words, In water, the sodium ions become attracted to the negatively-charged oxygen end of the water molecule, and the chloride to the positively-charged hydrogen side, which allows the two ions to become separated, hence dissolve.

In the text, the author discusses how young children are more altruistic than older children.Do you think you’ve become more sel
Anastaziya [24]

Answer:

i believe that we become less altruistic than younger children. i believe this because younger children can be ok with sharing a toy, and when their friend gets hurt, they become sad and try to help them. i personally, think that we become more selfish as we age. for example, i would never want to share my phone with anyone, and when my friend gets hurt, i tent to think about how i didnt get hurt and how dumb they looked while failing. i think that we should look at the world and the social issues that we have to try to fix some of them. i think that, instead of trying not to make eye contact with the homeless man, we should smile and wave at him, or maybe even give him some food, water, or some money.
