The adjective ´rápido ´changes into ´rápidamente' as adverb.
So you can say:

You would put LOS instead of LAS because "books" is in the masculine form! The English language doesn't really have masculine forms of "the" but, it is a very important detail in Spanish classes, and if you don't pay attention your teacher can mark you off points!
