Paul [167]

The Drought relief Service´s cattle slaughter program helped farmers struggling to sell livestock and helped feed many Americans. This was a government aid to the farmers since they couldn’t afford to keep their cattle and they got paid a lot more than they could´ve ever gotten from any market. This helped the cattle too since the government helped them to get better due to the drought.

Explain the principle of checks and balances as it relates to the power of the president. Provide one example to support your ex
Scrat [10]
Checks and Balances was designed to keep each branch from assuming too much power. Presidential power is checked and balanced in many ways. While he can veto various bills and keep them from becoming laws, he can be overridden by a 2/3 vote in both houses. SO if the Congress feels like the President is over stepping his bounds then they can in turn overrule him. The Supreme Court is also in the mix in that if they deem a law to be unconstitutional then they can rule it so and the law is no more. Presidents can influence Supreme Courts by whom they nominate for open positions (or in the case of one President, attempt to add more judges to the Court). However, after the nomination is made and the Senate approves and confirms them then they are free. The only way a Judge can be removed is they are found to be doing something illegal, deemed incompetent and unable to continue doing their job, resign, or die. This allows judges to "operate outside the realm of politics." The idea is that they can focus and not worry about politics and we can assume that decisions will be made free from political influences and bribery.

What three countries heavily influenced one another?
ahrayia [7]

Answer:

Korea, Japan, and China heavily influenced one another.

Explanation:

Korea (both South and North Korea), Japan, and China (including Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao) form part of East Asia (sometimes Mongolia is also included).

Historically, China has had a profound influence on other East Asian countries, including vocabulary and writing, as well as beliefs and / or religions. The heart of this region is formed by East China, the Korean Peninsula and Japan; these countries and territories have several points in common:

-a humid climate, more or less temperate (continental in the north and tropical in the extreme south) and conducive to agriculture (wheat and especially rice);

-millennial civilizations;

-a long-standing scripture based on sinograms;

-a spirituality associating Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism.

The expansion of Chinese culture to the East (Korea and Japan) is estimated in the sixth century. The expansion to Mongolia and the West in the twelfth century with the Yuan dynasty of Mongol origin under the leadership of Genghis Khan.
