Answer:

she must start the work by 11:10 A.M. in order to get ready at 2:00 P.M.

Step-by-step explanation:

Time taken by Vivian to mow the lawn = 1 hour 15 minutes

Time taken to trim some bushes = 40 minutes

Time taken to put down some much = 25 minutes

Time taken to get shower and dressed = 30 minutes

Total time taken by Vivian = 1 hour 15 minutes + (40 + 25 + 30 ) minutes

                                            = 1 hour 15 minutes + 95 minutes

                                            = 1 hour ( 15 + 95) minutes

                                            = 1 hour 110 minutes

60 minutes = 1 hour

110 minutes = 1 hours 50 minutes

⇒ Total time taken by Vivian = 2 hours 50 minutes

Time upto which Vivian needs to get ready = 2 : 00

So, she must start the work by : 2 - 2 hours 50 minutes

                                                  = 11 : 10 a.m.

Hence, she must start the work by 11:10 A.M. in order to get ready at 2:00 P.M.

ycow [4]

Answer:

a) If the diameter is 400 feet wide, then the radius is half that, which is 200 feet wide.

b) The circumfernce is π times the diameter, which is 400 feet. 400×π≈1256.64

c) She is not correct. She squared 400, which is 160000, when she should have squared 200, which is 40000. Then, multiply by π.

40000 × π ≈ 125663.7

Cathy rolls a number cube that is labeled from 1 to 6.
MatroZZZ [7]

Answer: 2/3

Cathy rolls a number cube that is labeled from 1 to 6.

Total outcomes = {1,2,3,4,5,6}

she rolls an even number or a multiple of 3

Outcomes of an even number = {2,4,6}

Outcomes of multiple of 3 = {3,6}

so favorable outcomes of even number or a multiple of 3 = {2,3,4,6}

Probability ( any event) =number of favorable outcomes divide by total  number of outcomes

probability(even number or a multiple of 3) = \frac{4}{6}=\frac{2}{3}
