= \frac{16}{100}

= 0.16

Federal income tax = 0.16 × Gross pay

                                = 0.16 × 2100

                                = 336

Monthly net pay = Gross  pay - Federal income tax  -  State Income Tax - Social Security - Medicare

                           = 2100 - 336 - 89 - 85 - 35

                          = 2100 - 545

                         = $1555
