Answer: 6, 9\ \text{units}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

The Sum of length and width is 15\ units

length is 3 units more than the width

width is x

length is x+3

Their sum is 15

\Rightarrow x+x+3=15\\\Rightarrow 2x=12\\\Rightarrow x=6\ \text{units}

Length is x+3=9\ \text{units}

Width is  x=6\ \text{units}

What is the leading coefficient in the quadratic below?<br> h(x)=-2x2+5x+10
Mars2501 [29]

Answer:

-2

Step-by-step explanation:

The leading coefficient in a polynomial is the coefficient that corresponds with the highest degree term. In this case, -2 is the leading coefficient since its term has x² as the highest degree of the quadratic.

Happy New Year from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

Proof by ASA congruence postulate. See below

Discussion:

  Fact 1 :     angle A = angle T             (given)

  Fact 2:    The angles on both sides of point X are equal as vertical angles

                 are equal.

From these facts it follows that angle M = angle H (as all plane triangles have 180 degrees). Also  AM = TH  (given) so

   In the left triangle                          In the right triangle

  (angle M, side AM, angle A)  =      (angle H, side TH, angle T)

Hence the triangles have two congruent angles, and congruent sides included between the angles, so they are congruent by  ASA.

Thank you,

MrB
