What is the part of a plot in which the conflict builds gradually in intensity? rising action exposition resolution climax
Pie

Answer:

rising action.

Explanation:

A play can be defined as a literary work that presents the dialogue between characters, as well as portrayal of fictional and non-fictional events in a theatre.

A plot simply describes the order of events in a literary work such as a play.

The five (5) main elements of a plot include the following;

I. Introduction (Exposition): it marks the beginning of a play or story. This is where the characters, background, and setting used in a play are revealed.

II. Rising action: it includes a series of events that build interest and includes suspense, tension, struggles, and/or drama. The events in the play becomes complicated and the conflict is exposed or revealed; creating suspense, tension and drama in the mind of the audience or reader. Rising action is between the introduction and climax of a play.

III. Climax: it's marks the turning point of events in a play or story.

IV. Falling action: the events in the play begins to fall in place while all loose ends come to a close.

V. Resolution: this is the part of a play in which all conflicts are resolved. This ultimately implies that, it marks the end of a play, as conflict between the protagonist and antagonist is resolved.

In conclusion, the part of a plot in which the conflict builds gradually in intensity is generally referred to as rising action.
