No one who was lazy or tried to live by the work of others was tolerated; everyone had to work. Thus on certain days each lord w
ent to his lands and took the plow in hand and cultivated the earth, and did other things. Even the Inca themselves did this to set an example. And under their system there was none such in all the kingdom, for, if he had his health, he worked and lacked for nothing; and if he was ill, he received what he needed from the storehouses. And no rich man could deck himself out in more finery than the poor, or wear different clothing, except the rulers and the headmen, who, to maintain their dignity, were allowed great freedom and privilege. Based on the excerpt, what two conclusions can be made about Pedro de Cieza de León’s thoughts on the Inca civilization?
The Inca were a self-sufficient and hardworking group of people.
The Inca treated guests and strangers with kindness and cooperation.
The Inca commoners liked to deck themselves in jewels and riches.
The Inca government provided for its people during times of need.
The Inca rulers used brutal methods to deal with troublemakers.
I’m pretty sure one of the answers is the first option (The Inca were a self sufficient and hardworking group of people), as the text states, “No one who was lazy or tried to live by the work of others was tolerated; everyone had to work”.
The other answer might be the fourth option (The Inca government provided for its people during times of need), as it says in the text, “and if he was ill, he received what he needed from the storehouses)
Every passenger on R.M.S Titanic felt they were safe on board. All of a sudden a disaster was stuck when they were hit into an iceberg in front of them. However the braveness from the crew and captain were astonishing. Hope this helped! :)
The basic principle in the exercise of one's right is that it should not interfere with the ability of others to enjoy their rights as well. this means rights have limitations, and these limitations are logical. The graffiti hurted the neighbour and that is a violation of his rights of propert as well.
These terms may not have been the most appropriate because people, specifically Indians who discovered what we call America (we know them as American Indians/Native Americans). It was not a "New World" or "discovery" to anyone besides Christopher Columbus and his followers; people already knew about it. A term that may fit what he found better is "learning" or "exploration", but it is important to recognize that he did not find America himself.
