Answer:

Great Britain demanded that Germany respect Belgium’s neutrality Germany refuse.

Explanation:

When Belgium refused to allow German troops to march through Belgian territory into France, Germany invaded a small nation, Belgium, which brought Britain, pledged to guarantee Belgian neutrality, into the war. Britain entered World War I after the expiration of an ultimatum to Germany. Britain could never tolerate German troops directly across the English Channel in any case.

What was the Great Leap Forward, and why was it disastrous?
ivanzaharov [21]
The Great Leap Forward, intended to be a five-year effort, was halted in 1960 after three brutal years. The initiative is said to have cost an estimated 20 to 48 million lives as a result of catastrophic economic policy, compounded by adverse weather conditions including a flood that killed 2 million people and the subsequent crop failures that led to starvation. In addition to the fatalities, the Great Leap Forward had negative environmental impacts as communes were encouraged to set up "backyard" production plants for needed supplies such as steel, timber and cement. In 1960, an extensive drought further added to the country's troubles.

Before answering, let us first establish what these "4 Olds" are. The "4 Olds" that we are talking about here are China's Old Ideas, Old Customs, Old Culture, and Old Habits. Mao Zhe Dong, the founding father of the People's Republic of China, was the one that led into the annihilating of the "4 Olds" of China. This is in response to what was currently happening at that time. There was a Russian revolution which began failing and became one of the reasons that led to the destroying of the "4 Olds". Urban Stratification was also feared to come up. And this way, elitism would be demolished. Some would say that Mao wanted to secure his own place in history which pushed the decision on destorying the "4 Olds".
