What can you infer why the weather service categorizes different types of winter storms
Viktor [21]
A watch is generally issued in the 24 to 72 hour forecast time frame when the risk of a hazardous winter weather event has increased (50 to 80% certainty that warning thresholds will be met). It is intended to provide enough lead time so those who need to set their plans in motion can do so. A watch is issued using the WSW Winter Weather Message product and will appear as a headline in some text products such as the Zone Forecast. It will change the color, as shown in the table below, of the counties on the NWS front page map according to what type of watch has been issued.

Why is the ending of "The lady, or the Tiger?" So effective? How does this ambiguity affect the reader?
Umnica [9.8K]
The princess knows the answer and through the reading of this novel and by understanding the character development of the princess the reader is pushed to make his or her own assumptions and conclusions about what she would have chosen for the young man. As well, the author attempts to impose self-reflection and perspective. For example, a man who comes from drought and finds it raining would be happy, a man who comes from a rainy place, might find the rain miserable. Was the princess an outright sociopath or killer? Or through her interest in the young man, was she self-sacrificing for the benefit of others? That is the conclusion the reader must draw on based on his or her own experience with the story and perspective.
