Answer:

Gained - Community based, controlled societal setup. Sacrifised - Elements of humanity & freedom of choice

Explanation:

As per above lines from 'The Giver' by Lois Lowry - Community control is gained, however after letting go indiscriminate humanity feelings (love, warmth, mutual pain). The associated rigidities also restricted people's choices regarding various domains of life. For gaining a peaceful societal setup - with people protected from environment, healthy & productive - we sacrifised with a trade off with elements of humanity, freedom of choice.

Read the following passage and answer the question that follows.
AveGali [126]
D) Mr. Utterson had an unusual friendship with Mr. Enfield.

The passage informs that Mr. Utterson had a “bond that united him to Mr. Richard Enfield.” This establishes that they have a relationship with each other. The passage goes on that many people couldn’t comprehend how the two men could be such friends, since they seemed to be so uninterested in each other on their walks. Despite this, they continue to highly value their weekly walk and would drop any other plans to make sure they can still go on the walk. This illustrates an unusual friendship where the two men continue to enjoy walking together even without apparent displays of social interaction.

Why does morgan freeman say the declaration was meant to be spoken rather than simply read
dezoksy [38]

Answer:

Morgan freeman says the "declaration was meant to be spoken rather than simply read" to portrays that when the declaration was published the right thing to do was to follow, support and believe it so to say "spoken" from the heart but rather what happened was the declaration was simply "read" which suggests that it was not treated with value rather read like some common story.
