What effects does the foreshadowing in Friar Laurence’s warning to Romeo have? Check all that apply.
Drupady [299]
Here are the effects that the foreshadowing in Friar Laurence's warning to Romeo had:
A. It keeps the audience engaged in the plot by suggesting more potential conflict in the story.
C. It creates suspense as the reader wonders why Friar Laurence would utter this warning.
E. It provides a clue that something tragic will happen to the lovers later as the story progresses.

B is incorrect because it is a foreshadowing, not an explanation. D is incorrect because the friar cannot predict the future, it is a warning.

Two families have been fueding for a while, the Montagues and the Capulets. One day the masked Montagues goes to crash a Capulet party (risking more conflict). A young man, Romeo Montague, falls in love with Juliet Capulet instantly. Juliet is to marry a man her father selected for her. However, in the end, they cannot be together because of their families conflicts so they kill themselves because they cannot bare being seperated.
