Decomposers break down dead plant animals, giving nutrients to living things in the area. If decomposers weren’t around, plants wouldn’t get their nutrients not being able to grow and make food. Also, dead matter and waste would be scattered around, not having any decomposers do the job. So, the environment would be damaged.
