Answer;

The correct answer would be option C.

Didymosphenia geminata or didymo is a diatom species that grows rapidly in the freshwater and deprive the nutrition out of it. It spreads like invasive species and its growth threatens the freshwater population.

It can spread in water bodies due to the activities of human in and out of the water bodies.

To prevent the spread of this freshwater pest one must follow the check, clean and dry methods.

Check and remove all the plant matter or any clump from the water gear and put it on the riverbank.

Clean the water gear thoroughly with any one of the following hot water, household bleach, disinfectant, or dishwashing detergent, antiseptic cleaner.

If cleaning is not possible then completely dry the item completely and wait for an additional 48 hours before entering into another water body.

Using the diagram that explain how proteins are formed, check ALL the statements that are true about the structure of proteins.
Snowcat [4.5K]

Answer/Explanation:

If a protein has a quaternary structure it is formed when many subunits get together. - true. The quaternary structure of a protein is the final stage in its assembly, when structures from multiple polypeptides come together, forming a multi-subunit protein (e.g. a dimer if 2, a trimer if 3 and so on)

Monomers form the secondary structure of proteins. - false, they form the tertiary structure

The charges on the functions groups of the amino acids creates the beta pleated sheets and alpha helix structures that are the secondary level of structure in proteins. - false, it is mostly the peptide backbone that causes the alpha helices and beta sheets to form

The order of the amino acids is the primary structure of proteins. - true. The amino acid sequence linked together by peptide bonds is the polypeptide sequence, which then forms increasingly complex structures when folded.

The tertiary structure of proteins is formed when the B sheets and alpha helices organize themselves into a more complex shape. - true. These complex structures can further interact with one another to form increasingly organized domains. The amino acid side chains possess different properties that form different bonds with one another.

The primary structure of proteins is formed from the amino groups on the proteins. - false, the primary structure is formed by the sequence of amino acids in the chain, determined by the mRNA sequence from which the protein is synthesised.
