Answer and Explanation:

An example of an email following the prompt is:

Dear ...

How have you been? I hope you and your family are doing well!

I happen to have great news, and I just couldn't wait till next month to tell you when you come to visit! I have had the chance to meet George R. R. Martin! Can you believe that?

Well, let me start from the beginning. There was a competition in the last book convention I went to. The person who could memorize the lines of a whole scene from one of his books would be the winner. You know I have a good memory, so I decided to take a shot. And I won!

So yesterday, he attended the convention as a guest speaker. Once he was done talking and answering questions, he went to a more reserved room away from the crowd. And I, as the winner, was taken there to talk to him! My friend, you can imagine I could barely speak at all! It took me a few minutes to begin acting like a normal human being again!

He was polite and funny. He noticed my nervousness and did everything he could to ease it. He offered me some food and beverages, asked me to have a seat, and even began to ask me about my life. With time, I felt less nervous and began to ask him as many questions as I could about his creative process and so on. I was afraid he would be bored by my questions, but he was really thorough in his answers.

The meeting only lasted around 20 minutes. Once I left the room, I felt like I had just come out of a dream. My legs were moving on their own because my mind stayed in that room. I kept trying to remember every word, every gesture, to make that brief moment eternal in my memories.

I will tell you more soon!

Best regards,
