water pollution can cause many diseases and sicknesses such as dysentery, cholera,hepatitis A,typhoid, polio, and diarrhea; it could possibly cause death. You can try and  prevent water pollution by picking up litter and throwing it away, not cleaning spills by hosing it down a drain, do not leave anything like mulch or compost in your yard or street because it will damage and clog storm drains.
