Why will the standard replacement algorithms (LRU, FIFO, clock) not be effective in handling this workload for a page allocation
dusya [7]

Answer:

These algorithm keeps an eye on which page was used when. LRU assumes that the page that was recently used has more probability

of being used or requested by the user. Thus, it keeps the pages that were recently used, when a new page is requested. If page

fault occurs, the requested page is fetched and it replaces the page in cache which was last referenced earlier than any other page

in the cache (or frame). The LRU associates a time with each page in the memory and the ones with the greatest value are replaced.

It does not suffer from Belady’s anomaly. The page fault will be referred when 512 page frame are reached. This is the total length of the complete sequence.

FIFO replaces pages that come in cache firstly. FIFO stands for First in first out.

(b) The FIFO replacement algorithm replaces the page which was first brought into the memory followed by the next and soon.

This algorithm suffers from Belady’s anomaly. In First In First out (FIFO) page replacement scheme of page replacement, the requests

are executed as they are received. When a new request is made of a page which is not available in the existing frames, then the requested

page is acquired from the memory. The page in the first frame is replaced by the requested page. If again a request is made of a page not

yet available in the frames, it is fetched from the memory and it replaces the second frame's page, and so on.

There are total 500 frames given. The alternative approach which is better than clock algorithm, FIFO, and LRU is that the pages

from 0 to 498 are set to the fixed frames. Thus, 499 frames are fixed and only one frame can vary.

Please check the attachment.

Remember:

All N1, N2, N3N, N4, N5, N6, N7 and each of them are certainly like the server. Also note that Router, repeaters, switch and transmitter are not mentioned in the above diagram. Please assume it in between each location.

Explanation:

Please check the attachment. Also, Remember that Server is at the head office, and rest 7 are the 7 branches. The VOIP, video surveillance, Door security system and the computer networks are being shown in the diagram. And each location has a network of computers joined through VLAN, and each of them are given the IP addresses of Class A, Class B and class C of the iPV4(or IPV6), which can be found by the future network administer, operators through the IP address, that is assigned.

Jeremy is designing a website for a florist. He intends to discuss the web design with his client. Which tool should Jeremy use
stiv31 [10]

Answer:

C. layout of each page with its respective elements

Explanation:

A layout of each page with its respective elements will give the client a good idea of the final product and help him confirm his desires/requests towards the creation of the Web site. Most people are visual, especially about things they don't fully understand, so a clear and visual representation is best.

A. Bulleted lists and titles... won't give the idea of the full layout of the Web site.

B. chart depicting.... that's more a tool for the programmer than the client, although user flow is important, it isn't as much as the visual aspect of each page.

D. pictures and screenshots of websites of other florists... That could be a useful aid on the first contact, but the question implied the Web site is already in progress... so that wouldn't help much.

E. programming code for the website, absolutely not, the client hired Jeremy not to have to deal with that.

In Broadbent's filter model of attention, the stages of information processing occur in which order?
victus00 [196]

Answer:SENSORY STORE, FILTER, DETECTOR, STM.

Explanation:Donald Broadbent in 1958 stated one of the earliest theory of attention,he stated that physical features of messages are used to select one message for further processing and that all others are lost. This differs from inattentional blindness, which is when you focus hard on something and fail to notice unexpected things entering your visual area. He believes that

Information from all of the stimuli presented at any given time enters a sensory buffer with unlimited capacity.
