Some advantages the North had was that they had many more soldiers fighting in the war and they had much more money than the South, this helping them buy more ammunition and weapons. The South’s advantages was that they were familiar with the territory because basically all of the battles of the Civil War were fought in the South. Also, they had stronger support by their citizens. Some disadvantages that the North had was that they faced hostile people because not every citizen supported the North, and the Southern territory was unfamiliar to them. The South’s disadvantages was that they had fewer factories and ships.
