'Cesca learned that if you do something nice someone will do something nice to you because she cleaned the gondola and she made a friend. In Roy's secret he learned that you don't always have to keep secrets because if he didn't keep his secret he could have bought the book

PS shouldn't be helping you with the state test ;)

“Cesca’s  Reward” is about a girl named Cesca that lived in Italy and her dad owns a gondola to make money. “Roy's Secret” is about a boy named Roy that keeps a secret from Mr.Banner (his boss) and mom because he is supposed to be cleaning, but instead he is reading his favorite fairy tale books.   Both characters would have very different lives if they didn't have younger brothers and sisters who made them into the people they are today, so basically, that is the learning for them.

Why does racism still exist? What are some of the steps that would be necessary to eliminate racism, not only in Canada, but als
Ksenya-84 [330]
I believe that racism still exists because we were so used to shunning people of different races. When we had slaves and Abraham Lincoln put the Emancipation Proclamation in place the south was mad because that was how they made income, and it's not like we're going to get over the fact that they were once slaves. How are we supposed to treat people like human beings when they were just our slaves? I think that we have to start by showing others that we're all equal, we need to have them accept that fact that there is going to eventually be change.

Was never given in vain;
evablogger [386]
The tone in the last stanza is regretful. The poem is about a man who received advice from a wise man that he can give away all his wealth but not his heart. He's told that once you give away your heart, you lose it and end up regretting it. He experiences it and regrets afterwards.
