BUYING A CAR TO GET TO WORK is not an example of investing. Investing involves the process of using money to buy products that will generate profits. If you buy a tow truck to start a towing and snow removal service, that truck is going to generate money for you because people have to pay for the service you render to them. But nobody give you money when you buy a car to carry you to your office.

What is the author's most likely purpose in presenting
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

To inform readers about one reason why cycling was controversial in the 1800s

Explanation:

The reason why the author mentions Dr. Richardson's research is to inform the readers about one reason why cycling was controversial in the 1800s.

Wheels of Change is a book written by Sue Macy about how important cycling was in the emancipation of women in late-nineteenth-century America. The purpose of the book is mostly to inform - not to persuade or entertain. Dr. Richardson is a prominent figure from that time, and Macy tells us about his opinion on this matter.

They love to visit Hilton Head every summer, where you can swim in the ocean.
RoseWind [281]

We can identify the pronoun problem, fix it and explain it in the following manner:

1. In "They love to visit Hilton Head every summer, where you can swim in the ocean," the pronoun problem is the use of "you" in the second part of the sentence.

2. We can fix that error by using "they" instead of "you": They love to visit Hilton Head every summer, where they can swim in the ocean.

3. The reason why we must use "they" is the fact that the first part of the sentence is talking about "they", so to speak.

When we suddenly use "you", we are changing the perspective of the sentence. To remain consistent, we must use "they".

This type of pronoun error is quite common in informal, spoken language. It refers to a sudden change in perspective.

Take a look at the example: I enjoy going to that café because you can get some delicious desert there.

The sentence in the example begins with the perspective of the speaker, "I", but suddenly changes to what "you" can do.

Although a listener would understand what the speaker means, it still sounds odd.

That is what happens in the sentence we are analyzing here. The sudden change from "they" to "you" sounds odd.

To correct it, we must use "they" instead of "you".

"The Canterbury Tales" and "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight"
german

It can be inferred that in "The Canterbury Tales" and "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight", the narrator describes them only in light of the good deeds they have done. (Option B).

What is an example of the above?

In The Canterbury Tales, for example, the narrator considers the Knight to be the noblest of the pilgrims, symbolizing military strength, loyalty, honor, charity, and excellent manners. The Knight always acts politely and mildly, never saying anything negative about anyone.

Note that a narrator is a person via whose perspective, paradigm, or point of view a story is narrated or told.
