Answer and Explanation:

The computation is shown below:

Contribution Margin for Bat

= $50 - $50

= $0

Contribution Margin for Gloves = $100 - $80

= $20

Now

Overall Contribution Margin = (0 ×70%) + ($20 × 30%)

= $0 + $6

= $6

Now

A. Break even sales = Fixed cost ÷ contribution margin

= $57,000 ÷  $6

= 9,500

B.Baseball bats = 9,500 × 70% =6,650

Baseball Gloves = 9,500 × 30% = 2,850

Which of the following is NOT a type of funded retention?a: reservesB: self-insurancec: captivesd. credite: all of the above
musickatia [10]

Option E, All the above are examples of funded retention

Explanation:

Funded retention — risk management term refers to a program in which an entity retains assets in advance, instead of distributed to the insured or another group, to pay for risks incurred by the company.

The insurance exclusion is a common example of a transfer of risk to save premiums, as a deduction is a limited risk that can save insurance premium costs for greater risks.

Based on the cost or absence of commercial insurance companies actively maintain certain risks–which is commonly known as self-insurance.

Bowie Sporting Goods manufactures sleeping bags. The manufacturing standards per sleeping bag, based on 5,000 sleeping bags per
grin007 [14]

Answer:

Total Material Variance = $52,130 Unfavorable

Explanation:

Total Material Variance = Actual Cost - Standard Cost

Total Material Variance = Direct Material Price Variance + Direct Material Usage Variance.

But here, we will calculate straight, therefore

Standard cost for 5,200 sleeping bags

= 5,200 \times 4 \times $5.50 = $114,400

Actual Cost = 27,300 \times $6.10 = $166,530

Total Material Variance = $166,530 -  $114,400 = $52,130 Unfavorable

As this is the positive, as also Actual cost is higher than standard therefore, this is unfavorable.

The loan period does not affect the total cost of the loan. true or false
almond37 [142]
This statement is false. The loan period does get to affect the total cost of the loan. Loans tend to have an annual percentage rate applied to it when you had it. It is a term used to refer the interest rate of the loan you had acquired.

Bill Darby started Darby Company on January 1, Year 1. The company experienced the following events during its first year of ope
Anettt [7]

Answer:

Darby Company

The amount of interest payable at December 31, Year 1 is:

$76.67

Explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

Cash Revenue = $1,300

Bank Note Payable = $2,300

Interest rate on Bank Note = 10%

Issue date of bank note = September 1, Year 1

Term of bank note = 1 year

Amount of interest payable on December 31, Year 1:

= $2,300 * 10% * 4/12 = $76.67

b) The amount of interest payable on the loan totals $230 ($2,300 * 10%).  However for Year 1, the interest payable is reduced to 4 months (September 1 to December 31, Year 1), amounting to $76.67.  This implies that the remaining interest ($153.33) will be payable in the period between January 1 and August 31 in Year 2.  In accordance with the accrual and matching principles of generally accepted accounting principles, interest expense must be accrued to the period when the expense is incurred and matched to the revenue it has generated.

Debit Bonds Payable for $1,500,000

Credit Cash for $1,500,000.

Explanation:

Although this bonds were issued at a discount, but the Discount on Bonds Payable account will have zero balance on the day of maturity because of the entry that has been made on each interest payment date.

Therefore, the necessary journal entry for January 2, 2019 to complete is as follows:

Debit Bonds Payable for $1,500,000

Credit Cash for $1,500,000

This entry will appear as follows:
