How does the narrator of "Everyday Use" see her two daughters differently?
Virty [35]

Answer: A. She sees Maggie as a shy girl who hides in the shadows, but she  thinks that Dee is a show-off who makes her opinions known.

Explanation:

<em>"Everyday Use"</em> is a short story which explores the relationship between a mother and her two daughters. It was written by Alice Walker and published in 1973.

The two sisters, Dee and Maggie, are quite different. Dee often shows arrogance and lack of sensitivity. While Maggie suffers from extreme shyness, Dee is confident and proud and is not afraid to express her opinion. Over the course of the story, Mama (the narrator of the story) describes Maggie as shy and makes it clear that she disapproves of Dee's superiority.

From the book the giver, explain how families are formed in Jonas's community and why this is significant so far in the story, w
Pie

Here are some of the ways the families are significant, I'm not sure how far you are in the story yet tho. I read this book last year, so I can't remember which parts these are from

1) The way they have 2 children to a family, one male and one female

2) Raising children were rules in the community

3) The parents aren't the real birth givers of the children, you had to apply for kids

4) Very controlled family with special practices

Hope this helps! (I believe it's all before chapter 10)

What lesson did the author learn from her high school teacher?
Damm [24]

Answer:

<u><em>D. Teachers have an obligation to guide their students to a  correct interpretation of a poem.</em></u>

<u><em>Explanation:</em></u>

We could make this conclusion because the author did not say that students study poetry only if aided by a teacher, neither did the author suggest that teachers should allow students room for different  interpretations of a poem, but the author learned that as teachers they have an obligation to guide their students to the  correct interpretation of a poem.
