Le docteur est médecin depuis<u> 1974. </u> ( since 1974 )

Le bébé est malade depuis <u>mardi dernier</u> . ( since last Tuesday )

Il a de la fièvre depuis<u> 3 jours</u>. ( for 3 days )

Le docteur prescrit des antibiotiques pour <u>10 jours</u>, à partir de ce soir. ( for 10 days / for a period of 10 days , he will have to take the medicine )

Le bébé a eu trois bronchites  en<u> trois mois</u>.   ( in a  three months period he got 3 ... )

Le bébé ne doit pas sortir pendant deux semaines.  ( for a period of 2 weeks )

Le traitement se fait pendant 10 jours. ( during 10 days )

Après ce rendez-vous, le docteur en a pour 4 heures avant de rentrer chez lui.  ( hard to explain this one .. the expession is " en avoir pour + a period of time  = it will take him 4 hours to go back home )

En 50 ans de carrière, le docteur a rencontré plus de 100 000 patients . ( In 50 years …)
