You have to use the Law of Cosines twice here.  Let's find angle A first: 21^{2}= (12)^{2}+(29) ^{2} -2(12)(29)cosA.  Doing a bit of simplifying you get 441=144+841-696cosA.  Simplifying a bit more gives you -544=-696cosA.  cosA = .78160919 and that A = 38.6.  Actually, now that I think about it we can now move to the Law of Sines to find another angle because the triangle is not a right triangle.  Just trust me.  Let's find angle B now. \frac{sinB}{12}= \frac{sin38.6}{21} and that sinB= \frac{12sin38.6}{21}.  sinB = .3565026267 and that angle B is 20.9.  Knowing those 2 angles we can find C:  180-38.6-20.9=120.5 and there you have it.

Law of Cosines is what you need for this problem
To find ∡A: 21² = 12² + 29² - 2(12)(29)cos A
When you solve this equation you get m∡A ≈ 38.6°

To find ∡B: 12² = 21² + 29² -2(21)(29)cos B
When you solve this equation you get m∡B ≈ 20.9°

To find ∡C: 180° - (20.9° + 38.6°) = 120.5°

Find the area of the kite please help and just don’t write down random answers
Zanzabum

Answer:

187.06 units²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of kite:

½ × d1 × d2

½d1 = 18sin(30)

½d1 = 9

d1 = 18

d2 = 9/tan(60) + 18cos(30)

= 12sqrt(3)

Area = ½ × 18 × 12sqrt(3)

108sqrt(3) units²

In the right triangle shown, m ∠ A = 30 ° m∠A=30°m, angle, A, equals, 30, degree and A B = 12 3 AB=12 3  A, B, equals, 12, squa
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

AC = 18

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the question:

<em>In a right triangle, m∠A = 30° and AB = 12√3 (AB is the hypotenuse). How long is AC?</em>

Side AC is adjacent to angle A. Then, by definition of cosine:

cos(A) = adjacent/hypotenuse

cos(A) = AC/AB

AC = cos(A)*AB

AC = cos(30°)*12√3

AC = 18

Tems11 [23]

Answer:

12 Notebooks And 16 Erasers

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the number of notebooks and y represent the number of erasers. (x+y=28) Then, input the cent numbers into the equation. (90x+45y=1800) The 1800 represents the amount of dollars spent. Then simplfy the equation, which gives you 12 notebooks and 16 erasers.
