"The third great goal is to continue the effort so dramatically begun last year: to restore and enhance our natural environment.

.. I will propose a strong new set of initiatives to clean up our air and water, to combat noise, and to preserve and restore our surroundings. I will propose programs to make better use of our land, to encourage a balanced national growth... that will revitalize our rural heartland and enhance the quality of life in America. And not only to meet today's needs but to anticipate those of tomorrow, I will put forward the most extensive program ever proposed by a President of the United States to expand the Nation's parks, recreation areas, open spaces, in a way that truly brings parks to the people where the people are. For only if we leave a legacy of parks will the next generation have parks to enjoy."
-from Richard Nixon's 'State of the Union" Address, January 22, 1971

Which statement describes the conflict theory of education?
Mila [183]

Answer:

You know why B is the correct answer, though, right?

Explanation:

I interpret it as pertaining to Ivy League schools and who they accept into their colleges. I don't know if you've ever heard about the 'scandal' with Harvard and the like, but they were found to be discriminant against Asians coming to their schools. African-Americans/blacks also have a tough time in higher education. So, there is definitely a high sense of racial inequality when it comes to those 'big wig' schools. As well as racial inequality possessing the potential to 'strike' at any time on college campuses in general. And we could even take this to the high school level. So, in a nutshell, I hope this provides you more context as to why B is the correct answer. There are also economic disparities in college student populations; not everybody has the funds or ability to take out student loans in order to finish their college degrees. It can be pretty costly. So, that is what is meant by that answer.

Justice Bradley of the U.S. Supreme Court wrote this comment. It appears in the case summary for Bradwell v. Illinois, 1872.
Katena32 [7]
I don’t think so. He implies women are only to be wives and mothers, which also implies the old statuses of men working, voting, owning property and women not being allowed to do so. This is not just the Justice’s personal opinion to keep to himself, and he says civil society must be based on the “law of the creator.” Personally, I think his perspective is rubbish
