Why do you suppose none of the prisoners harbor any thoughts of revenge after their liberation?

English

Answer:

Desire for revenge was not one of the emotions he felt, or at least not immediately. Consider all of the energy and emotion Eliezer had expended simply to survive, just to get to that point at the end where liberation was even possible. It may well be that he simply wasn't capable of rage or revenge at that point.

According to the poem “To a Louse” by Robert Burns, what is the benefit of seeing ourselves the way others do?
ValentinkaMS [17]
The benefit of seeing ourselves as others do, according to Burns, is to keep from making major mistakes. He observes that some people think of themselves too highly and think they're more important or above others, but if we could see ourselves from the perspective of a bug we might see that we're all the same, really.

Read the sentence.
SashulF [63]

Answer:

B. subjunctive

Explanation:

"were" is not imperatively stating a fact, or asking a question interrogatively

So the only options we have left are subjunctive and conditional;

Conditional would be stated under certain conditions.

So through the process of elimination what we have left is Subjunctive, which states what is wished to be or what could have been.
