How are Hammurabi's Code and Chinese Confucianism similar?
son4ous [18]

Hammurabi was the 6th Babylonian King in 18th century BC while Confucius was a Chinese teacher, philosopher and a prophet who passed away in 479 BC. They are from different times and cultures but there are striking similarities between their teachings and writings.

Both of them emphasized on the rule of Law, Hammurabi is a bit straight forward in citing the punishment for a crime while Confucius being a philosopher quoted it in his teachings, urging people to abide by the rules and law and giving such a man the title of “Great Man”.  In the second example when Confucius is stressing on family values and taking care of family, he is being straight forward while Hammurabi when citing the same subject puts is in another way, for example if someone son has died due to the negligence of a builder, the builder’s son will be killed. That shows he is stressing on family values also.

And the final and most amazing similarity is the stressing on Truth, both Hammurabi and Conscious seem uncompromising on this subject.

What are three ways interchangeable parts change work?
svetlana [45]
During the Industrial Revolution of the 19th century, machines took over most of the manufacturing work from men, and factories replaced craftsmen’s workshops. The event that laid the groundwork for this monumental change was the introduction of interchangeable parts, or pre-manufactured parts that were for all practical purposes identical, into the firearms industry. Interchangeable parts, popularized in America when Eli Whitney used them to assemble muskets in the first years of the 19th century, allowed relatively unskilled workers to produce large numbers of weapons quickly and at lower cost, and made repair and replacement of parts infinitely easier.
