Patient may have Gestational Diabetes because she has gained some weight and because she is pregnant she is always having to urinate. She is contantly thirsty as much of her glucose is supplied to the baby through her body which also causes weight gain of the baby.
She will follow a care plans including dietary changes, make sure that the baby does well, exercise regularly, inject insulin to control the level of glucose.
